Lancombes House Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in West Milton near Bridport. Our cottages are part of a 200-year-old converted barn and farm building in Dorset, perfect for a peaceful holiday.

The cottages are set in 10 acres and surrounded by the beautiful hills and valleys of this unspoilt part of West Dorset, which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Buckingham Cottage: Our superb single-storey cottage comes with a spacious open plan living/dining area with a fireplace and wood burning stove. At one end there is a beautiful fully equipped kitchen. A large king bedroom comes with a washbasin and a twin bedroom is also available. A separate bathroom comes with a WC and shower over a bath. Outside there is a fully enclosed garden with a patio and garden furniture. A lovely place to relax and enjoys glorious views of Knights Hill.

The Farmhouse: This lovely property comprises of 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 en suite) and a beautiful wooden kitchen with a range style cooker with an open plan dining area and a large lounge. Outside the farmhouse has its own BBQ area and seating area overlooking the valley down to the Jurassic Coast.

Tanglewood: Tanglewood cottage has been converted from Granborough and Winslow cottages and comes with 4 double bedrooms, 1 twin rooms (one with low headroom) and two single bedrooms, providing flexible accommodation for larger groups.

Facilities include three bathrooms — two with baths, one with a power shower over the bath and the third with a power shower. The dining room has a beautiful flagstone floor with an Inglenook fireplace and a woodburning stove. Outside, Tanglewood has two smaller seating areas and a gazebo in the orchard with a gas barbeque.

Bridport is a fantastic place Gateway Town for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, it is internationally known for its rope making industry, which stretches back to Roman times. We have our own brewery, a medieval parish church and some 1,000 listed buildings and for a community with a population of only 13,000, there is an amazing variety of activities for visitors to enjoy.
