Gorselands Caravan Park is uniquely situated in West Bexington near Bridport in Dorset overlooking the Jurassic Coast and provides a peaceful haven even at the peak of the holiday season. The panoramic views of the beach and Lyme Bay are quite spectacular.

Apartments:

Apartment 1 - Sleeps 4, pet friendly:

Situated on the ground floor and offers a good sea view. It has a large lounge/dining room with free Sat TV, DVD player and a double bed settee. There is a double bedroom, a bathroom with bath and step in shower cubicle and a separate WC. The fully fitted kitchen is all electric with oven and hob, refrigerator and microwave.

Apartment 2 - Sleeps 4, pet friendly:

This first floor apartment has a magnificent view of the sea. It comprises a lounge with a fully fitted all-electric kitchenette with oven and hob, refrigerator and microwave. Free sat TV and DVD player. Two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with the double room having an en-suite shower and hand basin. The bathroom has a bath, hand basin and WC. Access to the twin room and bathroom is via 3 small steps off the lounge.

Apartment 3 - Sleeps 2, no pets:

This studio apartment has a neatly furnished lounge with a double bed. Freeview TV. The bathroom has a shower, hand basin and WC. The kitchen is all electric with oven and hob, refrigerator and microwave.

Sleepers Cottage:

It is a property of some interest. It was formerly the village railway station which has been modernised into a most unusual home. It stands in its own grounds amid beautiful Hardy country. The sea at Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury is about three miles away and is excellent for sea fishing. Weymouth with its golden sands and the interesting harbour is fifteen minutes away by car, as is Dorchester, the "Casterbridge" of Hardy's novels. Bridport and West Bay are about twenty minutes by road.

The self catering accommodation comprises two bedrooms, one double and one twin, a richly furnished lounge with an open fireplace, free Sat TV with and DVD player. The fully fitted all-electric kitchen has oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The tiled bathroom has a bath/shower, hand basin and WC and night storage heating throughout. The sun lounge/dining room leads to the enclosed garden. There is ample parking space.

A good selection of sporting facilities is to be found in the area. Local beaches offer good swimming and Chesil Beach is excellent for beach fishing. West Bay offers boating trips for both fishing and pleasure.

Golf courses are at West Bay, Dorchester and Weymouth. Horse riding (what better way to travel the country lanes and see the area) is catered for by several establishments providing tuition for the absolute novice to the next Harvey Smith!

Bridport, Dorchester and Weymouth all have indoor leisure centres and swimming pools. Portland and Weymouth harbours offer excellent facilities for sailing and sailboarding.
