Bookham Court Cottages are nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Dorchester in Dorset. The cottages are situated on our 650 acre family farm and enjoy panoramic views over Thomas Hardy’s Blackmore Vale and are close to Dorchester. Sherborne and the Jurassic coast/Dorset beaches.

Little Coombe: Little Coombe was completely refurbished in 2020 and boasts an open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen with an inglenook fireplace/wood burner, beams and wooden floors. The 2 bedrooms sleep 4 and have either an ensuite bathroom or shower room. Little Coombe has a Smart TV and free wi-fi. This cottage is a very popular holiday destination throughout the year, with its views over the garden and the local wildlife. It was an enclosed patio with decking and private Hot tub.

The Wagon House: This single storey character Dorset holiday cottage was the original ‘Old Wagon House’ and sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. The spacious sitting room has a galleried ceiling exposing the old beams and an inglenook fireplace with wood burner. The wooden floors are kept warm with under floor heating for your maximum comfort. The property also comes with a wet room. The Wagon House has a smart TV and free Wi-fi. The cottage has spectacular views of the Dorset countryside from the patio, across the Blackmore Vale, from where you can watch the deer under the wood, the lambs playing in the field and the Heron on the lake!

Great Coombe: Great Coombe boasts wonderful views over the surrounding Dorset countryside. Sit on the patio or the balcony and watch the wildlife without leaving the cottage. Guests regularly see deer, badgers, foxes, Canada geese, Herons and other birds from the comfort of this holiday cottage. Great Coombe cottage has a spacious sitting room with French windows onto the patio, wooden floor, Inglenook fireplace and wood burner. Great Coombe has a Smart TV and free wi-fi.

This holiday cottage is ideal for disabled guests. There is a downstairs twin bedroom and a disabled shower/wet room (M2) with grab rails, emergency bell and shower stool,(shower chair available on request). There is also a pull out bed in this bedroom for a 9th guest (please request linen for this additional bed).

Crowthorne Cottage: This barn conversion is furnished to a very high standard, combining old and modern. It comes with a range of superb facilities, include a smart TV and free wi-fi. Crowthorne sleeps 8 and includes a downstairs twin bedroom with wetroom.. This individual holiday cottage is separate from Bookham Court but the games room and lake may be used by all the cottages free of charge. Cots and highchairs are available on request.

The holiday cottages are within easy access of Dorchester and Sherborne, and 20 miles from the traditional seaside town of Weymouth. Guests in our holiday cottages are never too far from south Dorset's wonderful sites. Country gardens and wildlife, castles, abbeys and hamlets can be found in the local region, with something for everyone just waiting to be discovered. There are also many excellent eating establishments within a few miles of Bookham Court cottages.
