We welcome dogs with thoughtful amenities and also offer accessible accommodation, on-site laundry facilities and an electric car charging point for added convenience.

Threshers Barn

Our Grade 2 listed stone barn is full of character with exposed beams and high vaulted ceilings, giving it a light airy feel. There are 3 double bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom. The master bedroom comes with a hand carved four poster, the second bedroom is made up as a twin and the ground floor third bedroom has twin single beds. The downstairs is open plan, there is a kitchen area with a table and chairs seating 12-14 when opened out and sitting area. A folding dining table can also be added upon request. Outside is an enclosed courtyard with views over the fields and a picnic table for alfresco dining. A BBQ is available.

Millers Cottage

On one level this cottage is cosy but maintains a light airy feel due to high vaulted ceilings in the living area which is open-plan with kitchen and dining table. Sleeping 3, there is a large double bedroom with super king size bed which can be converted to twin single divans. It is approached through a second bedroom with a single divan. The bathroom is off this room with a shower over the bath. The back door from the kitchen leads to an enclosed garden laid to lawn with views across the fields. A picnic table is provided. BBQ available.

The Wheatsheaf

Very spacious, all on one level, with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. Sleeping 2; it has a large bedroom with super king size bed and en suite bathroom with over the bath shower. Large open plan living area with kitchen and dining table. Back door from the kitchen leads to an enclosed garden laid to lawn. Picnic table provided and BBQ available.

The GranaryThe bedroom on the first floor has a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams and has a king-size sleigh bed. Downstairs is a shower room, the kitchen and cosy sitting room with exposed beams. With the rill running outside the door this is a lovely cottage to sit out in the evenings and listen to the sound of the running water and look at the night sky. Bistro table, chairs and BBQ provided.

The Cobb

Light airy cottage and spacious but still feels cosy. Vaulted ceilings and exposed beams throughout. Sleeps 2. The bedroom is very spacious and has a super-king size bed which can be converted to twin single divans. If you would like this arrangement please request it. En suite bathroom with shower over the bath. Open plan living area with large kitchen dining area. The garden is at the back, approached alongside the wildlife pond, which is adjacent to the cottage. BBQ, table and chairs provided for use in the garden or by the pond.

Harvest Cottage

This holiday cottage is wheelchair friendly. The property is very spacious and light and all on one level, with a ramp to the double doors. Fully equipped there is a large kitchen with dining table for 6 – 8, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and full-size oven and hob as well as a sitting room that can be accessed through the arch from the kitchen.

Visiting the Area

The local village is about 15 minutes’ walk and has a village shop with a post office and a child and dog friendly local pub serving good food. Those that know Dorset come back time and time again and for those that have not been Bakers Mill is a good base to explore this wonderful county and all it has to offer from the world heritage Jurassic coast and its various coastal towns of Bridport, Lyme Regis, and Weymouth to numerous old market towns such as Beaminster, Dorchester, Shaftesbury and Sherborne.
