45 Academy Street provides wonderful accommodation in Castle Douglas. We are based on a peaceful street and close to lots of cafes, shops and restaurants. Our charming pink property is perfect for a memorable holiday in Dumfries and Galloway.

This homely property sleeps up to 7 people and offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The cosy sitting room comes with a Harris Tweed sofa and chairs, TV, DVD player, electric fire, maps, jigsaws and games. A lovely place to relax after a day exploring or a great space for a pre-dinner drink. The versatile dining area leads to a traditional galley kitchen equipped with a cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. A downstairs WC is available and the cloakroom is great for drying outdoor gear.

Upstairs there are 3 comfortable bedrooms: a double, family and adult size bunk room. The latter enjoys delightful views over the garden. All the rooms share a light south-facing bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Outside there is a gravelled garden area with a garden seat, bird feeders and shrubs. A fantastic space to unwind with a coffee or a good book.

The house is a short walk away from the main street and a great base for visiting the nearby villages and towns. You can see the gardens, galleries, castles and wildlife. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
