The Saxon Inn offers guest accommodation, delicious food and a fantastic pub in the charming village of Escomb. Our inn near Bishop Aukland in County Durham boasts fantastic views over the famous Saxon Church deep in the heart of the Wear Valley.

Our 18th Century inn has an array of beautifully styled bedrooms to stay in. Our comfy standard rooms are in the main building and a large double bed. The newly refurbished deluxe rooms are on the first floor, offering a large and airy space to relax in. These individually styled rooms have either a double bed, a double bed with an extra single or a twin bed. The first floor also houses the newly refurbished family rooms which include a double bed and two single beds. Rooms 9 and 8 have adjoining doors for older families and includes en suite facilities.
