Thomas Wright House Accommodation & Restaurant offers luxurious accommodation in the charming village of Byers Green. We are set in a tranquil position in County Durham, perfect for a magical getaway.

Our guest house boasts spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and is just a short drive from Durham city, making us a great base for exploring the area. We have 8 beautifully furnished bedrooms available, all perfect for a restful night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing.

You can choose from two lavish suites, four double rooms, one twin/double room and one triple room. Our two sumptuous suites, Aquila and Phoenix, are perfect for a special occasion or spontaneous romantic break in the country. Aquila boasts a private terrace to unwind on and a luxurious hot tub to soak your troubles away in. Phoenix comes with a spa bath to soak your muscles in, whilst both come with a dining table and chairs.

All the rooms include an array of excellent facilities/features to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The rooms offer heritage colours to blend in with the buildings, plus elegant wooden shutters over the windows. The rooms include en suite facilities, luxury toiletries, freshly laundered crisp cream bedding, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV and Free Wi-Fi.

You can enjoy some wonderful food whilst staying with us. We use local suppliers wherever possible to create delicious dishes. In the summer months, dine al fresco on the covered terrace and garden. Afternoon teas are available and we also offer bottled lagers, ciders & beer, wines & spirits.
