Thorpe Farm Centre offers picturesque pitches for campers and caravans just a stone’s throw away from Barnard Castle. Our campsite offers a wide range of brilliant facilities for the whole family, perfect for a memorable day out, short break or holiday in Co Durham.

Our gorgeous campsite is a haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. You can also enjoy discounted entry to Wetheriggs Animal Rescue Centre. Onsite we also offer the opportunity to stroll around our woodland walks situated to the east of the park.

We have grass-standing pitches with electric hook up for caravans and non-electric grass pitches for both caravans and tents, plus fresh water points located around the site and a chemical disposal point adjacent to the amenity block. All the pitches offer plenty of space, ensuring lots of peace and relaxation.

We have an amenity block, offering both family rooms and disabled facilities.

While staying with us you can also make the most of our wonderful facilities, including a fantastic farm shop which is stocked with both essentials and treats to spoil the family whilst staying. You can also enjoy a touch of retail therapy at our beautiful Gift Hall, offering trinkets, keepsakes, gifts, home accessories and much more.

Onsite we have the Maize Maze to enjoy and our Courtyard Restaurant offers something for everyone. We provide a light bites menu, including sandwiches, lunches, cakes and sweet treats. On a Sunday we serve a delicious carvery. A function room is available and we can arrange meal packages.

At Thorpe Farm, we also have an animal rescue centre, Wetheriggs. Wetheriggs is a small family-run animal centre which is home to injured and unwanted animals. You can get the chance to meet, stroke and pet our lovely animals, including feeding some of them during their meal times.

As well as outdoor activities there are a wide range of attractions close by such as Bowes Museum, Raby Castle, Headlam Hall and the Lake District.
