Pekes House and Cottages offers a range of lovely self-catering accommodation on a private estate close to the village of Chiddingly near Hailsham in East Sussex. 50 miles from London, 16 from Brighton and 10 from Eastbourne & the sea. We are in an idyllic countryside setting, whilst also being a great base for exploring East Sussex and the lovely South Downs.

We have four houses to choose from, with each boasting a unique character. All the properties are beautifully furnished and come with a range of facilities to suit all your needs.

Pekes Manor House - This 15th Century Grade II Listed property is set out over three floors with 9 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a disabled ground floor WC, a large kitchen, three reception rooms and a beautiful garden with a very large lawn.

The Wing - This is an elegant Edwardian extension of the main house with a large bedroom with a King size bed, a double sofa bed and two single beds. There is also a living/TV area with a wood-burning stove as well as a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area, bathroom and WC.

Tudor View - This charming bungalow near the Manor house has one large double bedroom, one twin room, a double sofa bed and a single Z bed, a sitting room with lovely views, a kitchen/dining room, a bathroom and a separate WC.

The Oast House - This is a fairy tale house with four bedrooms: a double with a four-poster bed, 1 double (Zip & Lock) + 2 singles, I triple, 1 single and a double sofa bed, plus 1 Z bed. There is a large kitchen, a circular dining room, a circular lounge and a bathroom, shower room and 2 separate WCs.

Pekes facilities include an indoor heated Swimming pool open 24/7, a Jacuzzi + Sauna, a tennis court, a children’s play area, lovely gardens and a park. It is very rural and tranquil. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for each guest, as well as cleaning materials, etc. The local area offers a range of things to do and see, including visiting many historical towns, little villages and seaside resorts. The area is great for walking, cycling, horse riding and golf.
