Heronstone Lodges Retreat offers excellent self-catering accommodation in Ystradgynlais, set at the foothills of Brecon Breacons National Park and 16 miles from Swansea. We are nestled in a truly magical setting, surrounded by wonderful, protected woodlands in Powys.

Our traditional log cabins are perfect for guests looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere we offer. Surrounded by woodland we are a haven for those who love wildlife and bird watchers. All the lodges are tastefully furnished and come with an array of excellent facilities to suit all your needs. 3 of the lodges are dog friendly and we have a lodge that does 1 night stays.

Each lodge has a cosy living area with a smart TV/DVD player, well-equipped kitchen, dining area, modern bathroom and comfortable bedrooms. Parking outside lodge. The lodges also have a covered veranda with patio furniture and BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining whilst savouring your surroundings. All lodges also boast a covered hot tub to soak your troubles away whatever the weather. We are a family-friendly, LGBTQIA+ friendly and also Vegan friendly we only use synthetic furnishings. While staying with us yiu can visit the magnificent Brecon Beacons National Park. The park has everything, from an adventure farm and museums to castles and water sports. You can head to Henrhyd Falls, the tallest waterfall in southern Wales. Alternatively, Dan yr Ogof Caves is perfect for the whole family; you can walk underground for an atmospheric journey for more than 6km.
