Cilhendre Fawr Farm in Alltwen offers fantastic self catering accommodation in 3 cottages, set in 49 acres of grounds. We are a haven for outdoor lovers and near the majestic Aberduilais Waterfalls and Brecon Beacons. Portadawe is nearby and we are in the ideal location for exploring Glamorgan.

Our 4-star luxury cottage is nestled in the spectacular rolling hills of the south Wales Valley, great for the ultimate rural escape. The tastefully converted stone barn buildings maintain many original features whilst offering a range of modern comforts.

The Dairy: This charming cottage has everything you need for a tranquil getaway in the country. Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen with a range of appliances for home-cooking. You can unwind in the spacious living/dining area which has large leather sofas, A flat screen TV and a toasty wood burner for the winter months. In total, the cottage can sleep 6 people in 3 bedrooms: 1 double and 2 twin rooms. The rooms share a modern bathroom. Outside you can soak away your troubles in the fabulous hot tub whilst admiring the amazing views.

The Old Cow Shed: Our gorgeous cottage is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The cottage sleeps 6 people in 3 first floor bedrooms: 1 double and 2 twin rooms. Rustle up some delicious food in the open country kitchen and gather around the dining table with loved ones. A separate living room has a flat-screen TV with Freeview and a wood-burning stove fireplace for the winter months. Outside there is a seating area, ideal for a morning coffee whilst savouring the breathtaking views.

The Stone Barn: This outstanding cottage is a great for family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. Inside there is an open plan dining and sitting room with comfy seats, a flat-screen TV with Freeview and a traditional stone wood burning fireplace. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which comes with a range of appliances. Three lovely en suite bedrooms are available, 1 twin and 2 double rooms.

This part of the country has an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy, with lots of picturesque walking and cycling routes in the area. Only 30 minutes away is the Natural Resources Wales’ Afan Forest Park, the fastest growing mountain bike area in Britain. You can wander around the amazing grounds at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales or surf on one of the scenic beaches. Enjoy a fascinating tour of Penderyn Distillery or see magnificent Weobley Castle.
