Duffryn Mawr Cottages offer outstanding self catering accommodation just a short drive from Pendoylan. We are set in a gorgeous area of Glamorgan and just a couple of miles from the bustling city of Cardiff.

We have an array of accommodation to choose from, all nestled in a scenic rural location. All of the properties are beautifully furnished and come with a range of excellent facilities to make you stay as comfortable as possible.

The Loft: This is a modern studio apartment with a double bedroom to include an extra single bed upstairs. Also upstairs is the fully equipped kitchen open plan to the spacious living area with flat screen tv. Downstairs is a twin bedroom and the good sized bathroom with over bath shower. The Loft boasts lovely views over the Secret Garden and adjoining countryside

Kingfisher Cottage: Our thoughtfully converted stone barn sleeps 4 in a double and twin room. Unwind in the cosy open plan living area after a busy day sightseeing. Outside are two south-facing patio areas, great for a coffee in the morning sun.

Swallow Cottage: This charming barn conversion has a lovely double bedroom and a relaxing open plan living area and a well-equipped kitchen. There are 2 south-facing patio areas, offering great spots for a glass or two in the afternoon sun.

Hideaway Hut: Our magical shepherd's hut is perfect for a romantic getaway in a great location. Inside there is a comfy double bed for a restful night’s sleep and an en suite shower room. Facilities include a kitchenette and outside there is a decking area and a bench, ideal for a glass of wine whilst savouring your surroundings.

We also have our Swallow's Nest, which can be used as an extra twin bedroom.

The village of Pendoylan hosts The Red Lion which serves delicious Indian cuisine and the village of Peterston Super Ely hosts the Three Horseshoes for good home cooked food. The nearby town of Cowbridge has lots of shops and good restaurants, while the area also boasts an excellent golf course, including The Royal Porthcawl Links course and the Rolls of Monmouth. Visit the thriving city of Cardiff and browse the designer shops or visit majestic Cardiff Castle. Only a 15-minute drive away is the gorgeous sand dunes at Merthyr Mawr.
