The main entrance opens into a generous hallway with a downstairs cloakroom and WC. There is also a useful storage area under the stairs, which is well stocked with children’s equipment including a potty, high chair, toilet set, walker and stair gate, making the lodge particularly family friendly.

From the hallway, you enter the large, bright and airy open-plan living and dining area. This comfortable space is furnished with two large leather sofas and two single leather chairs, providing plenty of seating for everyone. The glass dining table seats up to six guests, making it perfect for family meals or relaxed dinners together. Guests can enjoy a selection of books, DVDs and games, while the media wall features a large 55-inch flatscreen TV with Sky Stream and Netflix options, along with surround sound for an enhanced viewing experience.

French doors from the living area lead out onto an enclosed, furnished decking area overlooking the lake. The decking includes a table and chairs for up to six people, a luxurious private hot tub that is not overlooked, and a gas BBQ. A grassy area sits alongside the decking on the banks of Windrush Lake, providing a peaceful outdoor space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for six adults and two small children and offers everything needed to prepare anything from simple meals to full dinner parties. Appliances include an oven, hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. For those wanting a truly relaxing break, there is also the option to arrange a private chef or have a ready-prepared meal delivered to the fridge for you to cook at your leisure.

The accommodation includes three well-appointed bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom is located on the top floor and features a zip-and-link king-size bed that can be arranged as a double or twins, a 32-inch TV with Sky Q, and an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and WC. On the first floor, the second bedroom offers a king-size double or twin beds along with a 32-inch TV with Sky Q. The third bedroom also sits on the first floor and has twin beds that can be made into a king-size double on request with a mattress topper. A main family bathroom with shower, WC and hand basin is also located on the first floor.

The lodge is exceptionally well equipped for families with infants and young children. There is space for cots and a wide range of baby and toddler equipment is provided, including a steriliser, plastic cutlery and plates, toys, books, stair gates, bed guards, steps and a child’s loo seat. A good selection of board games, books and DVDs is also available for guests of all ages.
