Big Skies is a family-run glamping and camping site, so you can expect a personal and welcoming touch when you holiday with us. Set within a private 350-acre working farm, guests can choose their tent or pitch in an idyllic wildflower meadow and enjoy breathtaking views across one of the most picturesque areas in the South West. Tucked away in the heart of the Cotswolds, we are lucky to be right in the centre of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our down-to-earth glamping and camping experience encourages guests to reconnect with nature, spend time with loved ones and even bring along their furry companions too.

Whether you're bringing the whole family, planning a romantic couple’s retreat, or looking to book the entire site for a special gathering with friends, Big Skies can accommodate groups of all shapes and sizes. We warmly welcome families and couples who want to relax and enjoy quality time in the great outdoors. However, please note that we do not cater for stag parties.

Glamping

Our glamping tents offer the ideal retreat for those looking to unwind and reconnect with nature, combining all the joys of camping with a hassle-free, comfortable experience. Set in stunning surroundings, we have five thoughtfully designed tents, each created to make your stay under the stars as cosy and enjoyable as possible. With exceptional height, generous space and handy essentials provided, life under canvas becomes an inviting escape. Hawthorn Lodge and Little Oak Lodge each sleep up to five guests, while our bell tents accommodate up to four, making them perfect for families, friends, or couples seeking a break from the everyday. Inside, you’ll find a comfy double bed with a real mattress, a futon sofa bed and charming touches like a tea light chandelier, all combining to create a warm and welcoming haven. For added peace and privacy, each tent is set 15 metres apart, allowing you to fully relax and soak in the unique atmosphere of the beautiful Cotswolds.

Camping

Big Skies also offers five off-grid, tent-only camping pitches set in a peaceful, vehicle-free wildflower meadow. Even at full capacity, you’ll never feel crowded thanks to the generous spacing between pitches, which ensures plenty of room and privacy. Each pitch includes a fire pit and bundles of logs can be purchased in advance with your booking or from the honesty shop upon arrival. While we welcome up to two dogs per pitch for a small fee to cover waste disposal, we are only able to accommodate tents (campervans, motorhomes, touring caravans and trailer tents are not permitted). The meadow is a car-free zone to maintain its tranquil atmosphere, but the nearby car park and provided wheelbarrows make it easy to transport your gear. With breathtaking sunrise and sunset views and a location just a stone’s throw from the Cotswold Way, this is the perfect spot for walkers or anyone seeking a quiet escape in nature. Pitches are mown but not pre-assigned, so you’re free to choose your ideal camping spot on arrival.
