Self Catering near Barmouth The Old Mill Holiday Park is a small Family run business. The Park and accommodation in Talybont, Barmouth is of outstanding natural beauty and for over 30 years we have worked hard to ensure that it remains unspoiled and completely uncommercialised.
We offer our visitors peace and quiet in our superbly appointed Self Catering Riverside Lodges and Old Mill Holiday Cottage. The Cottage has 4 Bedrooms and sleeps 8 Persons all are set in a 5 Star graded Park.
It is a beautiful 17thc stone built Mill House with an abundance of original features. The Cottage is full of character, beams and has a wood burning stove. Set in very pretty mature gardens with the River Ysgethin running along side the property. The Old Mill Cottage can be found in the village of Talybont. Which is aporox. 4 miles north of Barmouth and 6 miles south of Harlech. There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby for all the family to enjoy.
We also offer Self Catering Lodges. Our Self Catering Holiday Lodges are set in a 5 Star Park and are superbly appointed on the Banks of the River Ysgethin, which runs through the village of Talybont near Barmouth Gwynedd. The Holiday lodges are personally cleaned and supervised by the resident proprietors to ensure high standards and personal service at all times.
The location is an ideal base for exploring miles of sandy beaches in Talybont and Barmouth, play a round of golf at one of the many courses in the area, viewing breath taking scenery of Snowdonia, or touring the ancient castles and hisotric buildings of North Wales.
The Old Mill Park is situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. There is an enormous variety of places to visit in the area. Gwynedd and Snowdonia are famous for its' many Castles there is Conwy in the North and many more travelling down to Harlech Castle in the South of the region.
Snowdonias' narrow-gauge railways provide an excellent way to travel and see the area. There are quarries, slate caverns and slate museums to visit and each have their amazing stories to learn from.
Bodnant Gardens are one of the most beautiful in the UK. Where you can see plants, shrubs and trees from various parts of the world. Visit mid-May to mid-June and you will see the famous original Laburnum Arch.
Portmeirion was where the television series The Prisoner was filmed in 1967. Surrounding the village are acres of gardens and woodlands with lakes and miles of pathways to follow.
