Our fairy tale thatched cottage is nestled on the edge of one of the finest fishing rivers in England, set at the end of a private track surrounded by acres of stunning ground. This rural retreat offers pure seclusion, apart from the odd sound of some of the wonderful wildlife in the distance. The flexible cottage sleeps up to 4 people in the main house, with the fishing lodge provides accommodation for a further 2 people, perfect for a family or group holiday.

This gorgeous, character-driven house has been finished to the highest standards whilst offering a warm and friendly atmosphere. Fabulous features include magnificent, exposed beams, chunky flagstone floors with underfloor heating, and unique windows that offer scenic countryside views and beautiful furnishings.

A striking double-height oak framed living room offers the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the area. A toasty log burner will keep you warm in the winter months and you can catch your favourite show on the TV, with a dongle offering access to the iPlayer, Netflix and Amazon Prime etc. A DVD player, radio and a collection of games are also available. French doors open onto the patio and the stunning river views.

Rustle up a feast in the fully-equipped handmade kitchen that includes an electric range cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine, large Neff fridge with wine storage and freezer. Savour some delicious meals around the dining table whilst enjoying the spectacular views. A utility room comes with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs there is a lavish master bedroom with a vaulted beamed ceilings and dual-aspect windows that offers delightful views. Enjoy a restful night’ sleeps in a king-size antique bed. Downstairs there is a further double room with river views. The self-contained Fishing Lodge includes a superb en suite bedroom with two antique cast iron single beds. Patio doors open onto the private sun terrace and further facilities in the lodge include a smart TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and a little fridge.

The main house bathroom includes an opulent freestanding roll-top bath for two to soak yourself, whilst the lodge has an en suite shower room. A downstairs toilet is also in the main house.

Our picturesque grounds include 3 ponds and a paved terrace to the front of the house that acts as a real sun trap, including a dining table and chairs, loungers and barbeque for al fresco dining whilst savouring the views. You’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of the magical array of wildlife, including deer, badgers, foxes, birds of prey and kingfishers.

We have exclusive private fishing available on the Hampshire Avon and you can enjoy some glorious wild swimming in the river.
