Visiting the Area
In and around Bromyard in Herefordshire there’s a delightful mix of attractions to enjoy. The historic market town itself has charming half-timbered buildings, cosy cafés, independent shops and traditional pubs to explore, giving a real taste of local life and heritage. Just outside town you’ll find the beautiful Brockhampton Estate, a National Trust property with a moated 14th-century manor house, orchards, woodlands and scenic walking trails. Garden lovers can visit places like Ralph Court Gardens and Moors Meadow Gardens, while nature enthusiasts might enjoy a stroll through Brook House Woods or a visit to Kingfisher Trout Lake. A short drive brings you to the striking Edvin Loach old church ruins and more countryside to explore and for something a little different the Time Machine Museum of Science Fiction offers a quirky stop with memorabilia from beloved sci-fi franchises. The surrounding countryside and footpaths, including parts of the Herefordshire Trail, provide plenty of opportunities for longer walks and enjoying the rural landscape too.
