Guilden Gate Glamping offers a unique glamping site in Bassingbourn, based on a charming smallholding. Nestled in a gorgeous countryside setting near Cambridge, we are perfect for a magical getaway. We have two private sites that can be hired individually or together.

Coppice Woodland: This wonderful glamping site boasts an array of interconnected ‘rooms’. The site is let to one family or a couple, offering exclusive use of our atmospheric two-acre woodland. The living area comes with a delightful open glade and fire pit, whilst the kitchen includes a gas burner, butler sink, wood slab worktop and water hand pump. A beautifully renovated 1973 VW camper van offers a quirky place to rest your head at night and includes a full-sized double bed at one end. Additionally, a king-size bed in the woodman’s yurt is also available. A lovely cedar shingle canopy offers a sheltered dining area for rainy days. A fabulous bathroom includes a twin vault dry compost toilet and a wood-fired hot tub.

The Secret Garden: Our glorious secret garden seems like something from a fantasy novel. This can be used as a sister site to the Coppice Woodland for a larger group or two families. The stunning earth-sheltered hobbit hole has a king-size bed and solar fairy lights. A cedar shingle-covered camp kitchen and dining area boasts a single slab table and benches for al fresco dining. Huddle around the fire pit whilst gazing at the starry night sky. Set amongst the wildflower meadow & fruit orchard is a covered swing pod and open hammock hang to unwind in. Soak away your troubles in the private wood-fired hot tub and feel refreshed in the solar shower. A luxurious compost toilet is also available.
