Balbeag Cottage is a spacious and well-appointed family holiday home set amidst the splendour of the Cairngorm National Park. In its tranquil wooded position on the approach to Glen Feshie the cottage has far-reaching views across the Spey Valley.

Built of pine logs in the traditional "Scandinavian" style, the cottage provides a warm and friendly atmosphere for you and your family or perhaps a group of friends. Comfortably furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard Balbeag offers you a warm welcome and an excellent base for a great holiday whatever the weather or time of year.

Light and airy in design with a large, L-shaped living/dining room giving plenty of space for all the family to gather and relax around the wood-burning stove. During evenings in, settle down with one of the many books or jigsaws available, play a board game, take advantage of the satellite TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi connection, enjoy music on CD and radio or make use of the iPod dock.

The kitchen is open plan and includes a range of appliances; electric oven and microwave, larder fridge and dishwasher. A washing machine, tumble drier and freezer are in the utility room.

Balbeag can sleep up to 8 people within 4 bedrooms, all of which have large fitted wardrobes.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds that can be converted to a 5ft wide double bed.

Bedroom 3 has two extra-long twin beds.

Bedroom 4 has a single bed and a full-sized bunk bed over a wardrobe/shelf unit.

All bed linen is provided.

Balbeag has a bathroom with basin and WC and separate shower room also with basin and WC.

In addition to the wood-burning stove, there is "Total Control" electric heating throughout the cottage.

Additional facilities include a hairdryer and telephone.

Outside, the private garden has a large picnic table with bench seating and barbecue.

Two dog kennels are available, if required, each with a small run.

The cottage benefits from ample car parking space.

Loch Insh Watersports is less than a mile away, where you can try paddle-boarding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing, with Loch Morlich and other watersports within easy reach.

Additionally, within the local area, you will find everything from quad biking to horse riding, fishing to gliding, a zip wire park, skiing, clay pigeon shooting and a number of golf courses.

Being in the Cairngorms National Park you are guaranteed walking and cycling in spectacular scenery, from short easy trails to strenuous hill and mountain climbs.

Other local attractions include the Kincraig Wild Life Park, the Folk Museum at Newtonmore, Landmark Theme Park at Carrbridge and the steam train at Aviemore. Within Kincraig, there is a bar and cafe/restaurant overlooking the water at the Loch Insh Watersports Centre, a popular cafe at the old Kincraig Post Office and a friendly locals bar with weekly traditional music at the Suie.
