Kildonan Hotel is the 7th oldest licensed hotel in Scotland and can be found on the Isle of Arran in the beautiful Scottish village of Kildonan. Our hotel is perched on the most southerly tip of the island and is a stone’s throw away from the beach boasting spectacular panoramic views. We have seals basking daily on the rock jetties offshore, otters feeding and playing on the rocks and gannets diving nonstop through the day.
The interior has been fully refurbished yet still maintaining some of the quaint, traditional characteristics of old. Our extended bistro and lounge area feature floor to ceiling windows allowing our guests to taken in the spectacular views on offer.
Our double and twin rooms are nicely decorated with en suite, bath and shower and complimentary toiletries. We have tea and coffee making facilities and all the rooms are fitted with a flat screen TV. Most of our rooms have fabulous sea views please request on booking.
Our deluxe suites can sleep up to 4 people. Our upper floor suites have balconies and our ground floor ones have small covered patios with private doors leading through to the hotels gardens. The have en suite facilities with bath and shower and complimentary toiletries. They have under floor heating and a 32" flat screen TV. All our upper suites have some spectacular views perfect for the watching the sunset.
We have full wheelchair access throughout our ground floor, front door parking, ground floor disabled access suite with tiled floors and a wet room en suite with grab bars and shower seat.

Our kitchen offers something for all tastes, being next to the sea we specialise in seafood dishes and our famous fish and chips is not to be missed. Our food is freshly prepared and we aim to make your stay one to remember here in Arran.
Overlooking the Firth of Clyde we are right in the middle of a unique eco-system with a host of wildlife. We are fortunate to sometimes to have occasional basking sharks and dolphins visiting in the summer months and an array of birds-of-prey including eagles, peregrines, buzzards and more.
Pladda Island sits directly across the sound with its recognisable lighthouse and ever changing silhouette playing host to a large colony of seagulls and gannets and of course the famous Ailsa Craig, ‘Paddy’s Milestone’, a bird sanctuary now but is renowned for its granite which is still used for curling stones today.
