Salen Pier Holidays offers a variety of self-catering accommodation on the Isle of Mull, set in a truly spectacular and one-of-a-kind location. Overlooking the tranquil waters of the Sound of Mull and Salen Bay, our properties provide breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere, making them ideal for an unforgettable escape surrounded by the island’s natural beauty.

Salen Pier used to hold historical significance, being the nearest pier on Mull to Oban. Goods (including cars, only one or two of which could be craned aboard the Lochinvar) for the south of Mull would disembark here. The daily run between Oban and Tobermory was abandoned in 1964 when a pier was built at Craignure and a car ferry service was introduced.

All the properties are beautifully furnished and ideal for a memorable coastal holiday. Salen Pier Point and Haven are the only accommodation on a pier in the UK !

Salen Pier House – Sleeps 14

This property sleeps up to 14 people in 8 bedrooms and offers breathtaking views. A spacious lounge comes with lots of seating, Sony smart TV, DVD, Sonos sound system and log burning stove. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully equipped kitchen that includes an electric range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, grilling machine, food processor, large fridge freezer and wine/drinks fridge. You can also unwind in the large conservatory which has seating and a dining table. This is the ideal spot for enjoying a delicious meal whilst savouring the views.

On the first floor, we have the Pier Suite, the Forsa Suite, twin room and a single. Pier Suite has a superking size bed, TV, en suite facilities, plus a Juliet balcony which offers views over the pier and across the Sound. Forsa Suite has a king size bed, TV, en suite facilities and a Juliet balcony too.

The ground floor has 3 twin rooms and 1 single room. All the twin rooms have stunning views. There’s also a shower room and a bath/shower room. Outside there is a patio area with outdoor furniture for al fresco dining and you can soak away your troubles in the luxurious hot tub whilst enjoying the views.

Salen Pier Point – Sleeps 4

The pier has the only holiday accommodation on a pier in the UK, offering a truly unique place to stay. The lounge area comes with a TV, DVD player and Sonos sound system. This is a great space to unwind whilst savouring views of the Sound of Mull, plus east facing views to Glenforsa airstrip in the distance. Cook up a storm in the modern kitchen that includes a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction hob and combi oven washer/dryer etc. Two attractive en suite bedrooms are available, a super king and a twin room.

Salen Pier Haven - Sleeps 2

This property sleeps 2 people and is nestled right on the head of pier. The property comes with a galley kitchen with induction hob and shower room. From the lounge area are stunning two aspect views, Sony TV plus Sonos sound system.

You can visit lots of attractions in the area. In Tobermory, there are tea rooms, pub, restaurants, a book shop and silver smith. Enjoy a tour of the local distillery or visit the Glengorm Castle Estate. Attractions to visit include:
