Rowan cottage offers good quality comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 4 guests in one twin and one double bedroom with holiday rentals from Saturday to Saturday during the season and short breaks during Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb & March.
The comfortable cosy sitting room includes Satellite free to air TV, CD player and a DVD player for your enjoyment and relaxation, whilst the open fire which will also run the central heating system and hot water is ideal for the colder evenings in the year. However if you choose not to use the fire, heaters are provided within all the rooms and an immerser is available for your hot water. Coal can be ordered in advance should you wish to use the fire or can be bought from the shops.
The dining kitchen comes fully fitted and equipped with all mod cons and facilities for you to create your favourite meals including, oven/hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine kettle, toaster and coffee maker and is extremely well equipped with crockery and utensils.
Both bedrooms are on the upper floor. Bedroom one contains the double divan bed along with a double wardrobe, bedside drawers and dressing table with two sets of drawers. A hairdryer is supplied for your convenience.
Bedroom two contains 2 single divan beds, bedside drawers, wardrobe, dressing table and drawers.
Within the village are located the Salen Hotel, Spar shop, post office, restaurant and petrol pump.
For golfers there is two 9 hole courses on the island, one at Craignure and one at Tobermory both only 10 miles from the cottage. Golf Clubs are available to hire if required. Bikes can be hired within the village on a daily or weekly basis. Details of which can be found in the cottage.
Fishing on mull is wide and varied, from good salmon rivers ,remote hill lochs full of brown trout freely rising to the fly to sea fishing for anything from mackerel to specimen skate. Details can be obtained locally regarding permits and tackle.
For the more adventurous a 20 minute drive will take you to Mulls only munro, Ben More where the starting point is from sea level.
The historic island of Iona can be reached from finnaphort on the south end of the island following a picturesque journey.
The picturesque town of Tobermory with its multi coloured buildings lies 10 mile to the north of Salen .
