Knott Cottage, open year-round, offers two custom-built open-plan Studios and a comfortable, well-equipped two-bedroom Apartment. Located just 100 metres from the high tide mark of a sheltered bay, it's the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. The bay, with views of the distant hills of the Outer Hebrides, is home to otters, seals and a variety of seabirds. At low tide, you can harvest mussels, cockles and whelks while exploring the pebble and black sand shoreline.

Apartment

The Apartment occupies the upper floor of our home with separate access. It has been refurbished to a high standard, providing bright, centrally heated two-bedroom accommodation with spectacular views over Loch Snizort Beag. The open-plan living area is light and airy, featuring comfortable sofas, a dining table and chairs, leading into a well-equipped galley kitchen with two large windows offering breathtaking views over the Loch. There are two bedrooms: one double and one twin. Both bedrooms are stylishly decorated with neutral tones and natural materials, furnished with superior mattresses and quality linen. Each bedroom has a double wardrobe and additional storage. The bathroom is well-appointed with an over-the-bath shower, washbasin and heated towel rail. Towels are provided. Outside, you are welcome to enjoy our garden, which includes a large grassed area, drying green and enclosed sheltered flower garden. Garden furniture is available for you to sit outside and take in the views.

Studios One & Two

Our Studios are mirror images of each other, offering bright, contemporary open-plan accommodation for one or two people. They feature vaulted ceilings, underfloor heating and are decorated and furnished to a high standard. Large picture windows provide uninterrupted, panoramic views of Loch Snizort Beag, making them ideal for a romantic getaway or honeymoon. The king-sized bed has a superior mattress and quality bed linen, ensuring a good night’s sleep. A fitted wardrobe and bedside cabinet offer plenty of storage, with wall-fitted reading lamps for your convenience. The welcoming lounge area features two comfortable swivel chairs, carefully positioned to take full advantage of the large picture window and the stunning view over Loch Snizort Beag to the Outer Hebrides on the horizon. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range of fitted units, a wooden worktop, and all necessary appliances. The view from the kitchen window may even make washing up a pleasure, though a dishwasher is also provided. The bathroom is beautifully appointed with a large walk-in shower complete with a rainfall showerhead, making it the perfect place to start or end the day. Towels are provided. The Studio includes a TV with DVD player, a music system with CD player, radio, iPod dock, mp3 connection and free WiFi. Outside, there is a small courtyard with private seating looking towards the Loch. Guests are also welcome to sit in our flower garden.

Studio Two is accessible for guests with limited mobility.

The Area

Knott Cottage is ideally situated for accessing the delights of the Isle of Skye. Many of Skye's iconic visitor attractions are within a 30-minute drive. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including:
