Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe

Glenbrittle, Isle Of Skye

Details

Situated on the rugged west coast of the Isle of Skye, at the foot of the iconic Cuillin mountains and just steps from Loch Brittle beach, Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe offers a peaceful escape from the demands of modern life. Established in 1961, this award-winning site has been recognised as the No. 1 UK Campsite by The Daily Telegraph, received Gold Campsite of the Year 2019 in The Great Outdoors Magazine Awards and was named ‘No. 1 of the 10 Best Cool Coastal Campsites’ by Coast Magazine in 2020. It serves as the ideal base for world-class rock climbing and hill walking, providing a wild camping experience alongside premier facilities.

The campsite boasts 160 pitches, thoughtfully placed in natural pockets across the site, with many offering breathtaking views of Loch Brittle. Our Cuillin Coffee Cafe offers stunning views of the Cuillin mountains and Loch Brittle, while the site also features a refurbished WC and shower block, laundry room, pot wash, and waste disposal facilities, all easily accessible via vehicle tracks and nearby parking. We have 49 electric pitches, including hardstanding options for campervans up to 6m in length, close to both the beach and amenities, as well as large grass pitches with spectacular sea and mountain views, suitable for tents, campervans, and motorhomes.

Our on-site cafe and shop provide a range of delicious treats, from our artisan Cuillin Coffee to freshly baked bread, croissants, cakes, soups, and our famous sourdough pizzas. We also offer a selection of gifts and essential camping supplies. Our friendly team of campsite wardens and baristas, known for their warm Highland hospitality, are on-site 24/7, ensuring exceptional customer service and assistance whenever needed.

Please note that due to our remote location, the nearest 4G mobile reception is at the Fairy Pools and Carbost. While there is limited signal onsite, we currently do not offer Wi-Fi, making it the perfect opportunity for a digital detox!
