Tapnell Farm is in a stunning part of England, just a short drive from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. The farm is home to a variety of accommodation, making it the perfect place to stay for couples, friends and families. We have safari tents, wood cabins, modulogs, pods and cottages available. Our accommodation is nestled away in glorious surroundings and is surrounded by wonderful countryside.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do on Tapnell Farm. We have planted over 30 acres of native amenity woodland at Tapnell Farm and more than 4km of countryside hedging, for the benefit of wildlife and people’s pleasure.

Safari Tents: All of the tents are generously decked out with comfy sofas, a rustic kitchen, log burning range cooker, and dining table and chairs. Comfortable bedrooms offer a peaceful night’s rest, and your own private shower and toilet add home comfort and privacy. This is posh camping at its best.

Cabins: Built in 2015, they are beautifully light and contemporary. Inside is an open plan living space and outside is a veranda to the front. Here you will find a BBQ and seating, allowing you to enjoy the tranquillity of the farm and the stunning views across West Wight towards Tennyson Downs. The cabins have three bedrooms; one double, one twin and a quad room with two sets of bunk beds.

Modulogs: In 2017, our Modulogs were completed. They offer all year round accommodation for up to 6 people, in a unique glamping pod. They also have the best views! You will not find accommodation like this anywhere else, as they were designed specifically for us. These cosy accommodation pods are fully insulated and kitted out with heaters, comfy sofas (which fold out into sofa beds), log burners, dining tables, compact kitchens with all the essentials, one double and one twin bedroom, and separate shower room and toilet. Outside each modulog, is its own decked area, with seating, BBQ area, and a cosy wood-fired hot tub designed for 2 people. The views from the front deck of the Pods looks out across the stunning landscapes of the west of the Island, with Tennyson Down, Freshwater Bay and the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival site visible in the distance.

Eco Pods: A lovely bolt hole for solo travellers or a cosy retreat for two. These creatively designed pods have everything you need for an enjoyable glamping holiday. There is a built-in double bed with pull out double sofa bed, well equipped kitchenette with a table for 4 and a private shower room with hot running water and a flushing toilet.

Dome Meadow: A wonderful glamping experience, our geo domes will offer comfortable accommodation for up to 6 guests. They are nestled in a beautiful part of the farm and enjoy amazing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Our five, luxurious domes can be hired individually or collectively to accommodate up to 20 people.

Farm Cottages: We have two cottages available, both of which have been decorated and furnished to the highest of standards.

The Dairyman’s Cottage: Perfect for families, this room can sleep 8 people in 4 bedrooms. Three of the rooms can be set up as double or twin rooms depending on your requirement, please let us know when booking your requirements. As well as flexible sleeping arrangements, this cottage has disabled access and a wet room. The main living space is open plan and outside is a large garden and patio area with BBQ.

Poachers Perch: An older style family cabin that has been recently renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. It has all the amenities you require on a self catering break away and has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Outside is a sun deck which enjoys views up to Tennyson Down and a shared garden area.

East Afton Farmhouse: A beautiful holiday home that has a modern, farmhouse feel. It can sleep up to 12 people in the main 1700’s farmhouse and an additional 6 people in its adjoining annexe. With its 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, large family kitchen, private hot tub sun deck, beautiful gardens and cinema room, you will never be short of space and there is lots of room for all guests to rest and relax. An additional function room is also available to hire as part of the package. This makes us a fantastic location for those looking to host a special event.

Tapnell Manor: This is a truly stunning house that has recently undergone a major refurbishment. It offers the rustic appeal of an old farmhouse with all the amenities of the 21st Century.

Inside the house, there are plenty of rooms for guests to spread out: a games room for the more active, and plenty of open fires for the more relaxed. The farmhouse has 10 bedrooms: 6 doubles, 1 triple, 1 twin, 1 family room with a double and twin and 1 nursery with cot and put up single. There is also 3 sofa beds - one in the double room, 1 on a second floor landing and 1 in a downstairs walkway next to the wet room.

Other features include a welcoming kitchen with an Aga and a relaxed eating area, a conservatory with breathtaking views and a beautiful beamed dining room.

Outside, in the enchanting garden, there’s room to roam, ornaments and a wide assortment of flora and fauna to entertain the greenest of fingers.

Attractions

Our farm is a great place for a holiday or break at any time of the year. We have a range of great attractions and activities you can try out both on-site at Tapnell Farm and elsewhere on the Island. We have our very popular all-weather Farm Park attraction, which has a wide range of animals in the paddocks, as well as indoor and outdoor play. There is plenty to keep children and adults entertained at the Island’s only Aqua Park and Football Golf course and refurbished Archery and Axe Throwing!

We also serve amazing lunches and evening meals in our onsite restaurant, The Cow - serving the best burgers on the Island (as voted by our customers!), so you can “eat out” without ever leaving the farm!

Farm Shop

We have an on-site Farm Shop packed with holiday essentials and plenty of treats and fresh barista coffee. You’ll find fresh produce – fruit and veg from local farms, locally sourced meats, cheeses and deli items, plus there’s dough and toppings if you fancy using our pizza ovens. We have a good selection of laundry basics, toiletries and local gifts and Tapnell clothing to take home. New for 2022 we are delighted to be stocking ‘COOK’ frozen meals, all ready to take back to your accommodation!

You can also enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens – if they’ve laid any eggs!
