The Birkdale Guest House offers comfortable guest accommodation just 100 yards from the picturesque Old Village of Shanklin, making it an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Wight. Perfectly located for visitors, we're only a short walk from popular local attractions such as Shanklin Chine and Rylstone Gardens, providing a relaxing stay close to the island’s natural beauty and charm.

Our guest house has six individually furnished bedrooms that retain original Victorian features whilst offering modern facilities. 2 of the rooms are on the ground floor and the rest are on the first floor. You can choose from double and superior double rooms, including 1 with a four-poster bed.

All the rooms include a variety of facilities, including a fridge with an ice compartment, USB sockets, a hospitality tray with complimentary hot beverages, hair dryer, fan, radio alarm, complimentary toiletries, Wi-Fi and a smart flat-screen TV. The rooms include an en suite shower and superior room 4 also has a whirlpool bath.

We have a breakfast menu to suit all needs, including a traditional full English, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, juices, toast and preserves. Tea, coffee and herbal teas are available.

You can relax in our guest lounge in front of the wide-screen TV after a day sightseeing. Books and novels are provided.

We are close to Shanklin Theatre and a range of attractions in the area. Locally there are lots of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to enjoy.
