Maytime Cottage is a cosy holiday home near Ventnor, at Whitwell on the Isle of Wight. The cottage can sleep up to 6 people and has easy access to beaches, coastal and downland scenery as well as many walks and heritage sites.

The cottage offers generous living space with three main reception rooms, making it an ideal choice for families or groups looking for comfort and versatility. The sitting room provides a cosy area to relax, while the large open-plan kitchen and dining room creates a sociable space for cooking and enjoying meals together. A bright garden room leads directly onto the patio and private rear garden, offering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a convenient self-catering stay, including a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, induction hob, electric oven and a spacious fridge/freezer. There are two bathrooms in the cottage, one with a shower and WC on the first floor and another with a shower and WC on the ground floor, ensuring practicality and ease for all guests.

Sleeping accommodation is located upstairs and consists of three bedrooms. The master bedroom features a large 5ft king-size bed, the second bedroom has two single beds and the third is a comfortable single room. Bed linen and towels are provided for up to five guests. The cottage is equipped with gas central heating and also features wood-burning stoves in both the front living room and dining area, perfect for staying cosy during the colder months.

Outside, guests can enjoy a fully enclosed private rear garden that backs onto open fields. Surrounded by hedges, the garden offers a peaceful and secluded space with a patio area, outdoor seating and a rotary washing dryer. Additional folding chairs are also available for use in the garden, making it a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the countryside setting.

We are close to Ventnor, near the southern tip of the Isle of Wight. The cottage is set in open countryside, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are a mile from the village of Whitwell, 4 miles from the Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor and close to many of the attractions on the Isle of Wight. Whether you prefer golf, surfing, horse-riding, paragliding, or just relaxing and taking in the scenery, you can tailor your holiday to suit your own tastes.
