Borthwood Cottages offers outstanding self catering accommodation in a range of wonderful self catering cottages in Borthwood. Our cottages near Sandown are perfect for an idyllic breakaway. We are the ideal base for exploring all that the Isle of Wight has to offer.

Our cottages were originally a milking parlour and an old barn. They have been rebuilt to an exceedingly high standard to form three out of four cottages. We also have a new build, Laurel, to complete our cottages. Situated in a tranquil rural location of outstanding natural beauty and with views over the surrounding countryside to Culver Cliff, we are ideal for a relaxing holiday. The cottages are an ideal base for exploring the Island and have been designed to provide spacious family accommodation, incorporating disabled facilities.

Elm, Oak and Rose Cottages have been awarded 4 stars by Visit England and M2 by English Tourism Council. Although Laurel is not graded it is of similar design and all cottages are accessible to guests that are less mobile. The majority of rooms have a southerly aspect with stunning views. Rose, Oak and Laurel are designed to accommodate 6 people and Elm 4 people. There is full central heating and the cost of all service, duvets, bed linen and towels are included in the tariff. In peak season Rose, Oak and Elm are available Saturday to Saturday and Laurel Friday to Friday but on a more flexible basis during other periods

The Isle of Wight is a perfect base for a relaxing break or a family holiday. It contains a wealth of attractions for young and old - some of the best beaches in the country, theme parks for the children, historic buildings, stunning scenery and countryside, music festivals and much more.

Each year the island hosts a selection of events to cater for most tastes. For music enthusiasts, there is the Isle of Wight music festival and the Festival. For boating types - the old Gaffers festival, Cowes week and the round the island yacht race. For others, there is Walk the Wight, the walking and cycling festivals, local town illuminated parades, and much more.
