Newbarn Country Cottages is a 300 acre plot with 4 self catering cottages located in the centre of the Isle of Wight. They are within the small hamlet of Gatcombe which is 3 miles from Newport. The holiday cottages are all well equipped and at an affordable price in this beautiful location.

Parlour Cottage:

Parlour is the largest of the self catering cottages for larger families. It has three bedrooms, one with 3ft twin beds, one double with cot and children's room with 3ft bunk beds. The large kitchen is a dream with pine units, large pine table and ample seating and TV. Fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer. There is a separate comfortable lounge with TV, leading onto an enclosed patio. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath and there is a second shower room with W.C. and hand basin off the living area.

Stable Cottages:

The Stable, originally horse stables and coach house, was the first conversion, being completed in 1994. Completely on ground level, with only two steps and parking close to main entrance, it is suitable for the elderly, partially disabled or young families. Accommodation is in one double room with en suite shower and one twin bedded room with adjoining bathroom. The large kitchen/living room leads onto an enclosed patio. The kitchen is fully equipped with extensive range of units, oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, etc. Heating by night storage heaters.

Dairy Cottage:

Dairy is a charming holiday cottage, ideal for a small family, two couples or that special anniversary. There are two bedrooms, one double with large en suite shower room, the other with full sized twin beds and en suite bathroom. The cosy living room/kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and of course a TV. All the rooms open onto a very large enclosed patio with table and chairs. For those cooler days full oil fired central heating is included.

The Old Brewhouse:

The Old Brewhouse is a spacious and well-lit cottage featuring two en-suite bedrooms, each with its own garden space. The ensuite double bedroom boasts a king-size bed and offers direct access to an expansive terrace equipped with a hot tub. The twin bedroom is furnished with two single beds and also has an ensuite. The cottage's kitchen is fully equipped including an oven, a separate hob, a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. A dedicated utility room contains both a washing machine and tumble dryer. The Old Brewhouse also comes with a quaint front garden, adding to its appeal. Parking facilities are conveniently located just outside the gate, making it easy for guests to come and go as they please.

The Isle of Wight is ideal for many outdoor sports and pastimes on and off the water. The rolling hills across the centre of the island make for excellent mountain biking, horse riding and walking days out. Cowes, world renowned for its sailing heritage, is the perfect place to try your hand at more traditional water sports whereas the coastline from Freshwater right around to Bembridge is great for more extreme water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kite boarding.
