Carron Farm's self catering accommodation is located on St Martin's, the third largest island in the Isles of Scilly - an archipelago of islands 28 miles south west of Land's End. We offer accommodation in 3 separate properties: The Cedarwood Chalet, Up-Idas and Top Cottage. All three are in Higher Town and have wonderful sea views, with the nearest beaches only a couple of minutes' walk away.

The Cedarwood Chalet:

The Cedarwood Chalet accommodates a maximum of four people and is set in its own garden benefiting from panoramic views of Higher Town Par around to Old Quay, overlooking St. Marys and Tresco with the Western Rocks and the famous Bishops Rock lighthouse in the distance. The chalet is comfortable and well equipped, comprising of an open plan kitchen and living area with a bathroom,which has a bath with an over the bath shower and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom is a twin room. The living area has a night storage/convector heater with wall mounted fan heaters in the bedrooms and bathroom.

Top Cottage:

The cottage is accessed through the garden and via a flight of granite steps. It accommodates a maximum of four people and is the end property in the row of granite cottages with views of the uninhabited Eastern Isles. It is comfortable and well equipped with a downstairs kitchen/diner, separate lounge and bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs has two bedrooms: The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. There are night storage heaters in the living areas, electric fires in the bedrooms and a heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Up-Idas:

Up-Idas accommodates a maximum of five people and is set in a row of old signalman’s cottages dating from the Napoleonic war. This let enjoys dramatic views over Higher Town Par looking out towards the Eastern Isles. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped; comprising downstairs of a Sitting Room and Kitchen/Dining Room. The upstairs consists of a bathroom with bath and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has three single beds. There are night storage heaters in the living areas, electric fires in the bedrooms with a heated towel rail in the bathroom. The cottage has its own private garden with garden furniture that is available for guests' use.

Facilities on St.Martin's are excellent and include a general store and sub-post office, craft bakery and specialist food producer, pub and a bistro. The more active can play tennis, go sailing, play cricket, shoot clay pigeons, play bowls and go windsurfing. There is North Farm gallery, tea gardens and a Vineyard. There are lovely walks on St.Martins from the gentle southerly side of the island to the more rugged northern end where you will find the red and white striped Daymark.
