The Barn

The Barn at Great Higham exudes luxury and comfort from the moment you arrive, with its stunning double-height atrium featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that frame breathtaking views, and French doors that open onto the lawn, creating a perfect space for up to 26 guests to gather and unwind. Designed with thoughtful touches, the Barn offers a snug room, a reading area, a modern mezzanine, and all the latest technology, including a 75-inch Smart TV/DVD, PlayStation, WiFi throughout and USB uplinks for iPhones and iPods. Outside, guests can indulge in the hot tub, enjoy the shared tennis court or swimming pool, or explore miles of scenic paths and bridleways. The expansive kitchen, dining, and sitting areas make it an ideal venue for large groups. The accommodation features a master bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite, a double room with an en-suite shower and three double/twin rooms with flexible bed configurations. There is a family bathroom, a washroom with a WC and a first-floor snug/play area with two double sofa beds and four futons, sleeping up to eight. Additional options include a six-bed dormitory with an en-suite and a double room with a king-size or twin setup, accessible via spiral stairs or an exterior door, also with an en-suite.

The Oast

Great Higham Oast is a charming retreat that combines original features with modern comforts, including underfloor heating for cosy winter stays and expansive outdoor spaces perfect for summer gatherings. Accommodating up to 10 guests with ample room to relax, it’s an ideal choice for extended family holidays or trips with friends. The open-plan living and dining area creates a welcoming space for everyone to come together, while the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and all the essentials, makes catering for a large group effortless. There are four bedrooms, a family bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed and two single beds, on the first floor there is a master bedroom with oak bed and en-suite shower room and two twin bedrooms, there is also a family bathroom with bath and shower facilities. In warmer months, guests can enjoy the south-facing patio and lawn, with seating for 10 and a BBQ for memorable al fresco evenings.

Cherry & Plum Cottages

Plum and Cherry Cottages offer breathtaking views in every direction, making them the perfect escape for a family retreat or a romantic getaway. Forming part of the booking with the Oast, these cottages feature open-plan living spaces that open onto an enclosed lawn, with fields and woods stretching beyond. With a cosy twin bedroom on an open mezzanine floor, a fully fitted kitchen, modern amenities including TV/DVD and WiFi and a sitting room with a double sofa bed and wood burner, they provide both comfort and charm. Each cottage sleeps two, with the added option of using the sofa bed for extra guests. A log-fired barbecue and garden furniture complete the experience, offering a delightful setting to relax and soak in this picturesque corner of Kent.

Great Higham accommodates up to 32 guests across four separate properties, with the option to host up to 44 people for an additional surcharge (price available on request).
