The Sunnyfield is a low-key, off-grid campsite set in an eight-acre meadow, welcoming tents, campervans and glamping guests who appreciate real camping and time in nature. Family-run and ecologically minded, the campsite embraces a "barefoot luxe" ethos and is perfectly suited for those seeking simplicity, comfort and a peaceful escape. Located in a special corner of the North Kent Downs, surrounded by rolling hills and hidden valleys, it’s an ideal spot for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, with scenic adventures right on your doorstep.

The site is proudly car-free, creating a safe and tranquil environment for guests of all ages. On arrival, visitors park at the entrance, collect a wheelbarrow and stroll through wild grasses and buttercups to their spacious pitch. Each pitch has its own campfire, providing the perfect setting for cooking outdoors, stargazing under light-pollution-free skies, and enjoying the natural sounds of owls at night. Children can roam freely, and well-behaved dogs are welcome too.

The meadow includes 26 pitches of varying sizes to suit different group needs. A limited number of glamping bell tents, guest tents and campervans can be accommodated depending on availability and group size. Larger groups are welcome to combine their own tents with our bell tents and campervans, with pitches thoughtfully allocated in advance.

Facilities are refreshingly simple yet thoughtfully maintained, including clean composting toilets, unique horse-box showers, and multiple standpipe taps and hand-wash stations offering access to running and filtered water. Our luxury 5-metre bell tents are furnished with comfortable beds, bed linen, cooking equipment, a gas stove and a pioneer grill for campfire cooking. All guests need to bring is a toothbrush and towels.

Each glamping pitch includes its own fire pit, allowing guests to cook beneath the stars, toast marshmallows, and truly relax. With nature trails, the North Downs, and historical sites close by, it’s the perfect base for a Kent glamping getaway. We currently have eight uniquely styled glamping tents, each on its own generous pitch, creating privacy and space to unwind. They sleep up to 5 guests (2 adults & 3 children).

For campervan guests, our pitches offer the same back-to-basics charm, complete with campfires and clean facilities. There are no hard standings or electric hook-ups, as the site is fully off-grid, but that’s part of its charm. Campervans can be pitched alongside tents and bell tents, so group stays are easily arranged. Many guests return year after year, drawn by the wildflower views, the peace, and the friendly atmosphere.

In the mornings, guests can visit us for freshly ground coffee and on most weekends, we serve delicious wood-fired pizzas. Whether you’re out exploring the nearby North Downs Way and cycling routes or simply unwinding with local produce and a sunset, The Sunnyfield offers a truly relaxing and memorable countryside escape.
