140 Kingsdown Park is situated on a tree-lined holiday park, there are 149 chalets, a swimming pool, tennis court, crazy golf, volleyball, children's play area, clubroom/bar, restaurant, shop & launderette. The chalet, which sleeps up to 6 people + cot is near to the beach for fishing & watersports and there are three pubs nearby.

The Scandinavian style 3-bedroomed chalet comprises one twin upstairs, one double & one bunk room and bathroom downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster etc. shower, microwave, etc. The lounge has Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player/radio. There is a cot and high chair available if required.

Take beautiful walks along the cliffs in both directions: one way towards Dover, past Kingsdown Golf Course and via the picturesque St. Margarets Bay; the other way towards Deal, past Kingsdown Church and via Walmer Castle where the Queen Mother often stayed in her role as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, almost right up to the time of her death.

In Deal you will find another Tudor Castle, complete with cannons and dungeons, both built by King Henry VIII. Deal has many antique shops & quaint fishermens cottages, some of which can be viewed from the end of the pier, where you can enjoy a drink or meal. You can do the same in Dover and also visit the Museum to view a Bronze Age boat recently excavated under a seafront road. Also, exploring Dovers Norman Castle almost needs a whole day!

Sandy beaches can be found at Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate. Canterbury, Ashford & Folkestone are great for shopping, with local markets at Deal on Saturdays, Folkestone on Sundays & Sandwich on Thursdays. John Aspinalls zoo parks are popular: one near Canterbury, the other near Hythe, where you can also enjoy a trip on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Miniature Railway. France is easy by ferry from Dover or Folkestone or via the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone. Roman remains can be found at Richborough near Sandwich, which is also quaint and recently host to the Open Golf Championships.
