The Stables:

Restored and rebuilt from the original building of 1703, using eco friendly materials, this stunning cottage is a delight!

A bespoke oak front door leads into the sitting room. Opened up to the ceiling, the massive English oak beams provide the framework for a glorious space. Dual aspect, the French doors lead onto your private patio at the rear, with views over the gardens beyond.

The terracotta floor provides a warm base to the ambience of the room. The furniture is an eclectic mix of new (comfortable sofa and cushions) and antique golden oak furniture. A large television, radio with i pod dock are supplied, along with a selection of films and music to entertain you. Uncluttered comfort has been the aim.

The bedroom area has a beautiful English handcrafted white wrought iron bed, with side tables to match. Pure wool rugs to warm your feet and luxurious bed linen, along with silk cushions and throws complement the antique wardrobe and dressing table. The overall effect is calm, tranquil and so relaxing.

Step into the bathroom and you step into the 21st Century. Dominated by a huge walk in shower, the bathroom is stylish and modern, highlighted by the vivid splash made by the soft, thick towels. A lit mirror for the ladies and an eco friendly hairdryer is incorporated along with stylish accessories to complete the effect.

The solid oak kitchen is fitted with a washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, and oven with ceramic touch-control hob and extractor. A larger freezer, ironing board and iron, tumble dryer and space for suitcases is provided in The Old Bakehouse opposite the cottage, along with the recycling boxes. You even have a water filter jug!

An apron to protect your clothes, blender, hand-mixer, cafetiere, there are so many thoughtful items in the kitchen to help make your break easy. Wedgewood china, delicate glassware – home from home! A delightful room in which to cook and enjoy conversation over a glass of wine- if you don't fancy cooking, we have a range of pre-prepared meals, perfect after a day out – see our extras section.

The Gardeners Cottage:

From the moment you step inside this cottage, a feeling of cosiness envelops you. The hand-made English Oak door leads into the Living Room. A solid oak floor gives the feeling of warmth, and the mix of antique and new furniture compliments this.
