Glen Dye Cabins & Cottages - Cuttieshillock
Details
Glen Dye is a private estate spanning approximately 15,000 acres, featuring design-led cabins and cottages situated at its heart. Surrounded by wilderness, forest, and moorland along the River Dye, it offers a truly immersive nature experience.
Cuttieshillock, an exceptional ancient stone house on the forest edge within the estate, boasts a large kitchen, dining room and a spacious sitting room. An adjacent outbuilding has been converted into a versatile artist’s/writer’s studio and hangout space, complete with a wood burner. Guests can enjoy a private wood-fired sauna with a cold shower for the full experience, as well as a private wood-fired hot tub.
Located 4 miles from the main hub of Glen Dye, Cuttieshillock sits at the edge of Glen Dye forest, offering stunning views and endless walking opportunities. With a rich history, it once served as an inn where troops rested during the Jacobite Rebellion nearly 300 years ago.
Guests at Cuttieshillock have full access to The Glen Dye Arms, a BYOB pub with a roaring log fire and record player. Seasonal vegetables from our garden and fresh eggs from Glen Dye hens are available, along with a shop stocked with store cupboard staples, fresh local meat and fish, homemade ready meals, essentials like firelighters and midge repellent and a selection of souvenirs.
