Smithson Farm offers outstanding glamping facilities in Reedley Hallows, Lancashire. Based in 1.2 acres of land overlooking idyllic countryside, we are the ultimate rural retreat. We are within easy reach of the villages of Barley, Newchurch in Pendle, Roughlee and Barrowford, as well as the city of Burnley.

Glamping Pods

We offer two luxuriously appointed pods, expertly crafted to the highest standards using Siberian Larch. These pods are fully insulated and soundproofed, making them perfect for year-round use. Designed exclusively for two people, each pod provides spacious accommodation with a main room and a small toilet room. The main area features a beautiful oak double bed with a sumptuous memory foam mattress, complete with all bedding, towels and complimentary slippers. One pod includes a comfy settee, while the other has two equally comfortable chairs. Both are equipped with coffee tables and lamps. Each pod is equipped with a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge to keep your favourite bottles of wine and beer chilled. For added comfort, a heater is provided for those cooler evenings. The pods are illuminated with LED downlighters, a feature also extended to the outside decked area. Here, you'll find a box for outdoor shoes or boots and a perfect spot to sit on a late summer evening, watch the stars and enjoy a glass of wine straight from the fridge. The main toilet block is just a few metres away, as is our cafe, where you can enjoy breakfast, a cream tea, or a meal. We also cater to vegetarians and gluten-free visitors.

The Shepherds Hut

This charming Shepherd’s Hut, hand-built by us, occupies a prime position on our campsite. Designed exclusively for two people, it offers superb countryside views and is perfect for a romantic night under the stars. The hut comes complete with all bedding, towels and complimentary slippers. Inside, you'll find a double bed with a memory foam mattress, a wall-mounted Freeview TV, a hospitality tray, an ensuite toilet and colour-coordinated, high-quality bedding and towels. An outdoor table and chairs are also provided for your comfort.

We also have hard standing and grass pitches available for caravans, motorhomes and tents. Facilities include quality tiled toilets cubicles and one larger cubicle suitable for people with disabilities.

Our tea shop offers a range of options, from light refreshments to full meals, including specialty teas, homemade cakes, and cream teas. Groups can pre-order for added convenience. We also have a museum – please see our website for details.

On the farm there is abundance of wildlife to see, including bats, buzzards, kestrels and rabbits. You will also see our own hens roaming freely.
