Lakewood Self Catering Cottages are located on our small farm, just outside the village of Galgate, midway between the historic city of Lancaster and the market town of Garstang.

Stone Barn: The Stone Barn is our largest self catering cottage and can sleep up to 6 people. The Master Bedroom has exposed original beams and an en-suite shower room. The fully equipped and welcoming kitchen opens out onto the dining area and lounge. The lounge has beautiful views of the lake through the French windows. Whilst the large stone fireplace and log burner provide a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The second and third bedrooms are twin rooms. These rooms neighbour the large family bathroom which contains a Corner Bath and Power Shower.

The Granary: The perfect retreat for 2. The well equipped kitchen is decorated in a country style. The Master Bedroom which features exposed wooden beams, neighbours the bathroom which boasts a multi-jet power shower. The Bedroom can accommodate a King Size Bed or Twin Beds. You will find a lounge upstairs with extra warmth from the log burning stove, views over the lake, and access onto your very own balcony.

Mill Cottage: There is plenty of room for 4. The Master Bedroom features a window seat with lake views and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a twin room down the hall from the Master Bathroom which contains a corner bath and power shower. The Kitchen is fully equipped and opens onto the dining area and lounge. The Lounge has French doors with views out towards the lake and a stone fireplace with log burning stove giving a great area to curl up and relax.

Stable Cottage: The Stable is a wonderful self catering cottage for 4 people. Stable cottage has its own patio area which features a hot tub with views over open countryside. The fully equipped Kitchen is of a modern design and opens out onto the Dining Area. The Dining Area has French Doors leading out onto the patio. The large Master Bedroom features a super-king size bed, seating area, TV and Juliet Balcony which overlooks open countryside. The Master Bathroom is located across the landing from the Master Bedroom and contains a corner bath with separate multi-jet power shower. The Lounge has a stone fireplace with log burning stove and opens out into the Dining Area. The Lounge and Dining area have views over the patio to open countryside. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom and is located on the ground floor. This twin bedroom has an en-suite shower room.

Lakewood Cottages are located on our small farm, just outside the village of Galgate, midway between the historic city of Lancaster and the market town of Garstang. A more idyllic location would be hard to imagine with the cottages enjoying their own, private lakeside setting with fishing welcome on the lake. Less than two hundred yards away is one of the most beautiful stretches of the Lancaster canal, which along with the lake and surrounding countryside offers a multitude of pleasant and enjoyable walks. Excellent golf and fishing is available locally.

These self catering cottages are a wonderful retreat, ideally placed for exploring Lancaster, The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland, Morecambe Bay, Blackpool and the Fylde coast.
