Butterswood Lodge offers a range of fabulous self catering accommodation in a tranquil location in the village of Goxhill. The lakes and cottages near Barrow-upon-Humber in Lincolnshire are nestled in 11 acres of mature, tree-lined grounds, perfect for a memorable fishing holiday.

We have 2 charming cottages available. Each cottage is beautifully furnished and boasts a wonderful lake view. Guests share an exclusive large private fishing area on the Lily Pond, plus have access to our three other ponds. Each cottage comes with a range of excellent facilities to suit all your needs, including a large flat screen and DVD player in the living rooms and bedroom, a large collection of DVDS/book/jigsaws and a wonderful kitchen with a range of appliances. We also provide a lovely, complimentary condiment hamper.

Beech Cottage - sleeps up to 4: Beech cottage is a superb 2 storey property and is attached to the main house. There is a double bedroom on the first floor with an en suite toilet which enjoys glorious views over the lily ponds and grounds. A large double sofa bed is also available in the living room.

On the ground floor is a generous size living room with patio doors with access out onto the patio area and lily pond. The living area also has a gorgeous oak door and a cosy fireplace with an electric fire. A modern kitchen/diner is great for home-cooking and comes with an oak breakfast table and faux leather chairs. The dining area can be found in the light-filled conservatory, a great place for a tasty meal whilst savouring the view.

Oak Cottage - sleeps up to 4: Oak cottage is a fantastic single storey dwelling that is perfect for an unforgettable getaway. The cottage has 2 bedrooms: a king/twin room and a double room. Both rooms share a bathroom with a shower. Unwind in the relaxing open plan kitchen/dining/living room. French doors open onto the patio area which offer glorious views of the grounds and the lily ponds. The kitchen is well-equipped and the dining area has an oak breakfast table and faux leather chairs.

We have 3 ponds to fish in: Lily Pond, Railway Pond, Stock Pond (no fishing) and Tench Pond. They cover almost every coarse fish species, great for fishing enthusiasts. In addition to the fishing lakes, the grounds have picnic areas available for the use of holiday guests.
