Mere Brook House offers bed and breakfast accommodation located close to the village of Thornton Hough near the town of Birkenhead in Merseyside. The guest accommodation is set in its own grounds that spread over four acres.

Mere Brook House has a range of bedrooms including the following:

The Balcony Room - As the name suggests this room has its own private balcony. There is a king size bed and en suite bathroom as well as a traditional fireplace making this perfect for a romantic break.

The Water Iris Room - This room has either two single beds or a super king size bed. This room also has an en suite bathroom.

The Mere Brook Room - This room has a king size bed and a large bay window overlooking the stunning gardens. There is an en suite bathroom that has a TV meaning you can relax in the bath whilst watching you favourite programme.

The Dragon Fly Room - This room also has a large bay window overlooking the garden and a king size bed. The en suite bathroom has beautiful Travertino style tiling.

As well as the beautiful bedrooms that are located in the main house we also offer The Coach House which offers four more bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room and a lounge area.

Mere Brook House offers gorgeous lounge areas including The Oak Lounge that has oak panelling, a TV and comfortable seating. This is a lovely place to enjoy some of our homemade cakes. We also offer The Garden Room which is a much larger lounge that offers views over the pond and gardens this is a great place to sit with a book. The Garden Room can also be used as a venue for a drinks reception with canapés.

Breakfast is served in the dining room where there are individual tables. Guests can also dine in the main dining room where there is enough room for up to forty people meaning it can also be used for special events and even weddings.

Guests are more than welcome to explore the gardens that offer a truly relaxing sanctuary with numerous species of butterfly, birds and wildlife to be observed.

There are many things to do in the local area including walking; there are numerous footpaths available in the surrounding area including the Wirral Way which is a twelve mile path on an old railway line. Other activities that are available include cycling, canoeing, fishing, sailing and much more.
