Overlooking the beautiful Llanthony Valley with stunning views towards the Black Mountains, Broadley Farm Cottages offer a peaceful retreat in the heart of the countryside. Set within a thoughtfully converted barn, these three cottages combine stylish comfort with traditional country charm, making them ideal for a tranquil and relaxing escape. Each cottage is individual in character and completely independent, providing privacy as well as a cosy place to unwind. Designed for two adults, Flagstone Cottage also features a small mezzanine area suitable for two children, making it a great option for a small family getaway.

The Gallery

The Gallery at Broadley Farm is a spacious and elegant self-catering retreat for two, created from the largest section of the original barn, once a corn mill and cattle shed and later the owner’s art gallery and studio. Full of character, it features exposed barn rafters, a huge window with hillside views and valley views from the bedroom. The main living area includes a large table perfect for candlelit dinners, a sofa set in front of a wood-burning stove and cosy underfloor heating. The well-equipped kitchen has an induction hob and oven, along with space for boots and coats and leads through to the shower room and toilet. The bedroom sits on a large mezzanine overlooking the living space, with a king-size bed dressed in beautiful linen. WiFi is provided throughout. Please note that dogs are not permitted in The Gallery.

Flagstone Cottage

Flagstone Cottage is an ideal holiday retreat for two, yet spacious enough for a small family, with children especially loving the secret staircase hidden through the wardrobe that leads to the mezzanine. Full of country charm and character, the cottage is furnished in antique pine with original beams, a beautiful flagstone floor and French windows that open onto the garden, offering spectacular views, while a back door leads to a pretty courtyard garden. Underfloor heating and an open log fire create a cosy atmosphere in the evenings. The accommodation includes a king-size double bedroom, a mezzanine with two children’s beds and an additional single bed downstairs if required, comfortably sleeping two adults and two children. A well-equipped kitchen provides a microwave, cooker and fridge, and the cottage also features a television, a bathroom with shower, garden furniture and a barbecue, access to a washing machine and welcomes well-behaved dogs.

Oak Cottage

Oak Cottage is a light and airy open-plan ground floor cottage with outstanding views across the valley, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating. Simply yet stylishly designed using natural wood and stone, it provides a comfortable and relaxing space to unwind. Outside, garden chairs and a table allow you to sit back and take in the magnificent scenery. The cottage includes a double bed and a single sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious shower room and a TV, with an outdoor table and chairs for al fresco moments. A washing machine is available in an outbuilding and the cottage also benefits from wheelchair access and easy parking.

Visiting the Area

Set between Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye, this hill farm enjoys a secluded setting away from the crowds. Tucked into the beautiful Vale of Ewyas, Llanthony is surrounded by lots of places to explore. The atmospheric ruins of Llanthony Priory are right on the doorstep, while walkers can head into the Black Mountains for breathtaking views and scenic trails. A short drive brings you to the market town of Abergavenny, known for its food scene and independent shops, or you can explore the historic streets and bookshops of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary charm and riverside setting.
