We have 3 magical shepherds huts available: Hartley Hut, Bishy Barney Bee and Whoa-Stop. All of the huts are beautifully furnished and come with an array of fabulous facilities:

Giraffe Enclosure:

Our luxury safari tent offers plenty of peace and privacy, sleeping up to 6 people in 2 king beds, including 1 which is a cabin bed that has a small ladder, plus 2 single beds. All beds have electric blankets, bedding and extra blankets. A spacious bathroom has a freestanding bath, flushing toilet and heated towel rail/

The kitchen/living/dining area includes a children’s den hidden underneath the cabin bed. Our fully equipped kitchen has a range of appliances and a large dining table. Unwind in the area in front of the TV and large wood burner.

Outside we have a large fire with BBQ grill and a covered gazebo area with seating for al fresco dining. You can soak away your troubles in the woodfired hot tub.

Dragonfly Spa Lodge & Firefly Spa Lodge:

Our cabins are perfect for an unforgettable getaway. They have a fenced garden area that greets you as you arrive it has a gas fire pit that doubles as a barbeque, garden seating and an “al fresco” dining table and chairs. Both cabins come with a wood-fired hot tub to relax in and an infrared sauna.

They offer a truly homely feel, offering an array of home comforts to suit all your needs. Each cabin has a well-equipped kitchen with a ceramic hob, gas oven, fridge, kettle and toaster. A lounge area comes with a TV. The private en suite bathroom comes with a large shower and a log burner will keep you warm in the winter months. Attached to the cabins are our bespoke pods which come with a separate bedroom with a sumptuous king-size bed.

Guests can choose to order a retreat box for their stay. They include locally sourced produce and are all hand-picked. We have the following retreat boxes available:

Here at Thompson Hall Retreat, we have our outdoor spa area with treatments available. Facilities include a wellness garden which a natural swimming pool, swim spa, hot tub, barrel sauna, infrared sauna, cold plunge and relaxation area. We also have the Botanical Bistro that uses local and foraged produce where possible. Breakfast is served and we have a 5 hygiene rating.

We offer a range of packages, including Celebrations Packages that are tailored to suit all your needs, such as personalised decorations, bunting and delicious cake. We also have Something Special Packages that included a hand-tied posy, bottle of prosecco and a box of chocolates.

If you like a stroll in the morning the sunrise is beautiful over Thompson's Lake which is about a mile from your hut, located just off Pedders Way and is 32 acres in size brimming with beauty and wildlife. You can walk your dog around here too providing they are kept on a lead. If you are a keen walker there are miles of tracks to discover along Pedders Way where you can walk in the steps of our Roman ancestors.
