Baconsthorpe Meadows offers a peaceful camping experience on a working farm in Baconsthorpe, just three miles from Holt, making it an ideal base for an unforgettable getaway in Norfolk. Set in beautiful countryside, the five-acre campsite features 63 tent pitches (no caravans, motorhomes, or campervans) alongside six cosy camping pods, giving guests the chance to enjoy an authentic stay on a charming working farm. With a traditional camping atmosphere and a no-noise policy after 10pm, Baconsthorpe Meadows is perfect for those seeking peace, relaxation, and a true escape to the countryside.

We are a haven for nature lovers, with lots of beautiful walks and cycle routes nearby. A bridle path runs alongside the campsite and is part of North Norfolk Council’s Circular Route No 31 – Holt to Mannington Walk. We are also on the Reivers Cycle Route. You can also visit Baconsthorpe Castle, a ruined castle with a moat. This is a lovely place to relax with a picnic whilst the sun is shining. The historic Georgian town of Holt is home to many art galleries, antique and book shops and places to eat, located along the high street and tucked away in hidden, charming courtyards and alleyways.

Rates:

Tent Pitch with a car and 2 people = £23.50 (£18.50 for 1 person).

Tent Pitch for motorbikers, cyclists and walkers = £12 a head.

Electric Hook-Up = £6.00.

Extra adult (over 15 years) = £5.00.

Extra Child (4–15 years) = £2.50.

Event Shelter 3m square and larger = £5.00.

Dogs = £1.00 each (maximum of two dogs per pitch).

Camping Pod £60.00 a night – sleeps 2. A dog in a camping pod is £5.00 a night. Stay for six nights and the seventh is free.

Please note that for the late May Bank Holiday and the August Bank Holiday there is a 3 night minimum stay.
