Carrick's at Castle Farm offers luxurious self catering accommodation on the banks of the River Wensum in Swanton Morley. Based on a gorgeous farm near Dereham, we are ideal for a magical break in Norfolk.

We have two wonderful cottages to choose from, The Hunstman and The Buttery. Both properties are beautifully furnished, brimming with character and offer everything you need for a memorable holiday in an idyllic location.

The Hunstman: This fabulous suite of rooms was the former stables and has been beautifully renovated to offer high-quality accommodation. A stunning, vaulted sitting room boasts a wood burner for those chilly days, a flat-screen TV and comfy seating. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the kitchen that include an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave.

Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the baronial double bed, whilst a bathroom includes a lavish walk-in shower. Outside there are delightful gardens that lead to the river, offering a great spot for a picnic or BBQ whilst the sun is shining.

The Buttery: Our outstanding cottage is nestled just outside the main house and boasts delightful views over the courtyard, lawn and river. You can enjoy some home cooking in the fully equipped kitchen that has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, and microwave. Unwind in the cosy sitting area that has a toasty log burner and flat-screen TV. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the beautiful twin en suite bedroom. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower.

While staying with us you can make the most of our stunning grounds, including croquet on the lawn, farm walks, river fishing (fishing licence required), canoeing (bring your own canoe) and rounders and football on the island.
