Blackwood Norfolk offers stunning self catering accommodation in West Runton, surrounded by glorious National Trust woodland. Our unique shou sugi ban clad retreat in North Norfolk is close to the beach and perfect for a truly relaxing break.

Our contemporary retreat is nestled away in its own woodland, a haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. We are ideal for a slower pace of life and offer luxurious accommodation to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The cabin is stylishly furnished throughout and sleeps up to 6 people. On the ground floor is a useful boot room with a large bench and storage. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully equipped kitchen that includes solid beech cabinetry by Sebastian Cox for DeVOL with a gorgeous deep-aged copper sink and patinated brass taps.

A fabulous open plan lounge/dining area boasts pieces of bespoke furniture designed for the house, plus artwork, ceramics and carved wood pieces curated to blend seamlessly with the interiors. A large wood-burning stove is perfect for keeping you toasty on those chilly days and you can catch your favourite show in front of the smart TV and Sonos Sound system.

The living room has large sliding doors that lead to a fantastic decking area with furniture, offering a great space for a glass of bubbly whilst admiring the setting. From the decking area, there is a firepit to huddle around whilst star gazing and BBQ.

Bedrooms consist of a lavish super king room with woodland views and doors that open onto the decking area. The room comes with a freestanding bath to soak your stresses away in. Upstairs there is a super king and twin room (that can be made into a third super king) , with both offering sumptuous en suite facilities. All the bedrooms include luxury mattresses and Hungarian goose-down pillows.

North Norfolk has an abundance of amazing landscape to discover, including 45 miles of spectacular coastline. You can also visit the charming villages, whether it’s browsing the artisan shops in Cley-next-the-Sea or grabbing a coffee at Blakeney Harbour whilst enjoying the coastal views. Visit the majestic National Trust properties of Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Estate or explore the antique shops in the Georgian market town of Holt.
