Situated on the Norfolk coast between Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton Hall is a picturesque, flint-faced, Jacobean manor house built in the 17th century. We offer unique holiday accommodation year-round in the West Wing of the Hall, Chloe’s Cottage and several charming cottages, some of which provide views of Cley Windmill and its surrounding marshland.

Smugglers Cottage - Sleeps 5

On the ground floor, you'll find a kitchen with cream painted units, a kitchen dresser, a dining table for 4-5, an electric cooker, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge-freezer and a microwave. The sitting room features a large fireplace with a wood burner, comfy sofas (one of which can be used as extra sleeping accommodation for an additional charge), a TV with Freesat, a DVD player and a CD player with an iPod dock. The shower room includes a walk-in shower, WC and washbasin. Upstairs, the first bedroom offers a king feature bed with views towards Cley Windmill and the second bedroom has a king bed with a padded headboard that can be converted to twin beds. The bathroom has period-style units, a bath with a shower mixer tap, a WC and a washbasin. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a west-facing private patio area with tables and chairs and views of the farmland, along with a front and large side garden with views of the windmill and Cley-next-the-Sea village. Parking is available outside the cottage.

Marsh Lane Cottage - Sleeps 6

The ground floor features a cosy living room with a wood burner and comfy sofas, a fully equipped kitchen-diner with a beamed ceiling and a table that seats eight and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The first floor includes three bedrooms: one with a double brass bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers; another with a king-size bed and chest of drawers; and the third with twin 2’6″ brass beds and a small hanging wardrobe. All bedrooms offer east-facing views of Cley-next-the-Sea windmill. The bathroom has period-style fixtures. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a west-facing private patio area with tables and chairs and views of the farmland, as well as a front and side garden with views of the windmill and Cley-next-the-Sea village. Parking is available outside the cottage.

Lubbock's Cottage - Sleeps 4

The ground floor includes a living room with a wood burner, a fully equipped kitchen-diner with a beamed ceiling and a table that seats four and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The first floor features two bedrooms: one with a double brass bed and chest of drawers and the other with a king-size bed and built-in wardrobe. Both bedrooms offer east-facing views of Cley-next-the-Sea windmill. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a west-facing private patio area with tables and chairs and views of the farmland, as well as a front and side garden with views of the windmill and Cley-next-the-Sea village. Parking is available outside the cottage.

The West Wing of Wiveton Hall - Sleeps 9

The ground floor boasts a large drawing room with an open fire and a grand piano, a large kitchen and dining room with a sitting area that has a wood-burning stove and a walk-in larder off the kitchen. There is also a utility room with a double sink, dishwasher, washing machine and a door leading to a pretty, secluded and sunny courtyard garden. Additionally, there is a cloakroom and lavatory. The first floor includes two enormous double bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed, a twin-bedded room and a triple-bedded room with single beds. A fabulous long passage offers beautiful views over the marshes to the sea and Blakeney Point. There are two family bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom.

Chloe's Cottage - Sleeps 6

The ground floor includes an entrance hall leading into the dining room with a wood-burner, a large dining table, and a dresser. The kitchen features a large American-style fridge and a range cooker. There is also a cloakroom with a WC and a small bath, and a door leading to the garden. The first floor has three bedrooms: one with a double bed, bureau, and two sets of drawers (double aspect) with an en suite featuring a modern shower and WC; another with a double bed, drawers, and integral wardrobes with a door to a daybed room (farmyard view); and the third with two singles, drawers and a dresser, also with a door to the daybed room (farmyard view). The room with a single daybed has access to the bathroom from bedrooms 2 and 3. Outside, there are enclosed gardens to the front and rear, a patio area with garden furniture and spectacular westward views over the wildflower meadow, the sea and the marshes to the north. Ample car parking is available.

Café & Shop

Wiveton Hall Café overlooks the marshes and the sea. It is known for its vibrant décor, unique outside space, and fresh café menu. Our team serves breakfasts, salads and café lunches throughout the year, using homegrown produce, along with cakes and pastries made on site. Pizzas are served Weds-Saturday. Our shop is stocked with honey, conserves, spirits, liqueurs, unusual giftware and artwork from various producers and artists. You will also find greetings cards, notecards, jigsaw puzzles, calendars, beauty products and homewares.
