We have seventeen seasonal pitches and eight touring and camping pitches. Each of our twenty five (25) pitches measure approximately 9 metres square. Each has a 16 amp EHU available. The pitches are properly marked so all campers have a guide to use when pitching up.
The site has a gradual, but not extreme, slope which is perfect for drainage in wet conditions for caravans and tents. This was a blessing during the end of May Bank Holiday in 2007, and in August 2010, where just under 3" of rain fell in less than 72 hours. There wasn't any standing water on or around site.
The site manager always offers assistance to help you pitch up. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or just starting out, help and assistance is always available.
Campsite facilities include free showers, separate ladies and gentlemen toilets, a large fridge freezer, a washing up facility, chemical disposal point, public phone, and every pitch has a 16 amp electric hook up if required.
We have Waggtails boarding kennels 150 yards from the campsite and they do accept dogs on a daily basis. The dogs and kennel noise cannot be heard from the campsite. The kennel location is a bonus as you are able to leave your dog(s) for the day and see local attractions that you wouldn't noramlly be able to enter with an animal. Please contact 01485 528310 before your vacation and mention that you will be staying at the campsite. They will be able to tell you what documentation is needed in order to board your animal.
We no longer permit ball/throwing games on site(ex: football, rounders, rugby, frisbee and the like). This is because the campsite isn't big enough to support these activities and also by request of many of our guests. This has significantly reduced complaints while also reducing the risk of damage to expensive caravans and camping equipment. There are playing fields nearby for such activities.
The woodland is open but all children must be properly supervised by a parent or guardian.
We also offer seasonal pitches aat our campsite for your touring caravan at competitive rates. The benefits are:
No more towing your caravan through heavy traffic.
No nore pitching up in the dark.
Leave straight from work knowing that your caravan is already set up and waiting for you.
Guaranteed place for your bank holiday vacation.
Leave much later in the day to go home after your relaxing break without the worry of towing.
Free up your garden and driveway space and enjoy the view from your front window without seeing your caravan.
There is no additional charge for awnings and pets for our seasonal caravan pitch holders. If this interests you then please contact us today to check availability.
There are many public foot paths around the campsite (one of which is directly next to the campsite) that offer long leisurely walks along quiet back roads. It is also a great place for cyclists as well with so many back roads and pleasant villages to visit. There is a public bus stop 200 metres from the campsite with service to Fakenham and Kings Lynn. Many of our guest have left the car behind and made day trips to the beach using Coast Hopper from Fakenham and shopping in Kings Lynn.
If you're looking for a quiet retreat that is close to all of the local attractions then please give us a try. There are no clubs or pubs within 1 mile of the site. You will be well looked after when you stay at our campsite and we do our best to cater to your every need. We hope to see you soon and thanks for visiting our site.
