Pear Tree House in Sutton-on-the-Forest offers luxurious self catering accommodation in a Grade II Listed property which dates from the 18th Century. Our house is in the ideal location for exploring the historic city of York and a variety of attractions in North Yorkshire.

Our property sleeps up to 6 people and is perfect for a family or group getaway. The house is reportedly the oldest property in the village, with many original features offering plenty of charm and character. The property boasts a stunning glass-roofed extension that houses the open plan sitting/kitchen.

A gorgeous conservatory kitchen/main sitting room is great for entertaining and includes a pitched glass, conservatory roof with remote-controlled openers. Cook up a storm in the outstanding kitchen by Thompson’s of York in Carrara marble and Bird’s Eye walnut. Two cosy sitting rooms are great for unwinding in after a day of sightseeing. One comes with a TV/DVD player, whilst the other makes a good office. Additionally, there is a downstairs WC.

Four beautiful bedrooms are upstairs: 1 double, 1 king en suite, 1 twin and a fourth room with space for a cot or an additional mattress. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath and a WC. All bed linen and towels are included.

You can relax in the walled garden which has seating, great for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.

The village of Sutton-on-the-Forest is a lovely place to wander around, home to Georgian brick cottages, an Anglican church and Sutton Park, an 18th Century house with gardens. Enjoy some indulgent treats at Miss Daisy’s Tearooms or enjoy one of the many scenic walks in the area. Further attractions to visit include:
