Stirton, Skipton, North Yorkshire
Sleeps: 1 to 6

Details

Tithe Barn is a distinctive luxury conversion that has been transformed into a three-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat complete with its own hot tub. Situated in a peaceful rural setting within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, it enjoys sweeping views across to Pendle Hill. The property features an enclosed garden with a stream flowing through it, adding to its charm. Despite its tranquil location, the barn is only a short walk from the centre of Skipton, where the railway station provides easy access to the Three Peaks and a variety of excellent hiking routes.

All three bedrooms are located on the ground floor. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, wall-mounted smart television and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom also has a king-sized bed, while the third is arranged as a twin room but can be prepared as a double upon request. These two bedrooms share a spacious family shower room fitted with a large walk-in monsoon shower. A utility room with a washing machine offers additional convenience and leads out through the back door.

A wooden staircase takes you up to the first floor, where a spacious open-plan living area awaits. Here, exposed oak beams and trusses highlight the barn’s original character, while modern comforts bring a sense of warmth and style. The sitting area is arranged around a wood-burning stove, with comfortable sofas, a smart television with Sky and a Bluetooth Apple smart speaker. At the opposite end of the room, the contemporary kitchen features granite worktops, a wooden dining island with seating for six, a ceramic hob, dishwasher, large fridge, microwave, and oven. The space also includes a pool table, creating a relaxed environment ideal for both entertaining and unwinding.

Skipton itself is a picturesque market town celebrated for its unique blend of history and modern appeal. With its 900-year-old castle, cobbled streets and market days, the town offers visitors and residents a rich sense of heritage. At the same time, it is home to a welcoming community with a variety of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. The scenic canal paths and regular local events provide plenty to enjoy, making Skipton not only a gateway to the Dales but also a delightful destination in its own right. Places to visit include:
