Yurtshire is close to the historic city of Ripon in North Yorkshire. We are set in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park. With six stylish and comfortable yurts, this exclusive site sits in a beautiful meadow with fantastic views of the spectacular scenery beyond.

Yurtshire is ‘off grid’ which means guests can really escape the everyday ‘rat race’. We have gone to great lengths to ensure it need not be a compromise! In the true nature of ‘off grid living,’ the yurts do not have electricity. Solar powered lights and candles are provided and together with the warm glow of the wood burning stove, fire pits and barbecue it all adds to the romantic ambience and truly magical experience of staying in one of our yurts. Each yurt sits on decking and has a private flushing toilet, hot gas shower plus your very own private wood burning hot tub. Each yurt is also equipped with an internal log burner, a kitchenette with all crockery/cutlery etc that you need for your stay, simply bring yourselves, some clothes and food and drink, then site back relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Guests can do as much or as little as they choose from enjoying the private 7 acre yurt field to the fantastic array of attractions in the local area. A wide range of excellent local attractions such as Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rock National Trust sites, theme parks and adventure centres, as well as array of pubs and restaurants are available within close proximity.
