Details

As seen on Channel 4's 'Four in a Bed'

Baxby Manor dates back to 1308 and is nestled in a stunning part of the North Yorkshire Moors. For those who are looking for a break away from the stresses of modern day living, there really is no better place to stay. You are close to nature, surrounded by wildlife, whilst being within comfortable driving distance for visiting local towns and attractions. Whether you are young or young at heart, we have found that the accommodation and surroundings are the perfect tonic for those who are seeking some well-deserved rest and recuperation.

In addition to the human guests on site, you will find that Baxby Manor is home to a whole host of incredible wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for otters who live in Ings Beck. Look out for buzzards and kingfishers flying above and of course rabbits, stoats, weasels and squirrels playing amongst the trees. If you look closely, you may even spot a bat!

Glamping accommodation on site comprises of:

Hoglet Houses - Perfect for those who are looking for something with a little more luxury. They have award-winning facilities and are popular with all the family.

Eco Pod - Sleeps up to 2 adults and one furry friend if you would like to also bring your dog. There is no electricity in the Eco Pods because that just wouldn’t be ‘eco-glamping, with soul’ now, would it?

Family Pod - Room for two more? Our family sized Eco Pods sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 kids. Complete with double bed and bunk beds. We do not provide bedding in our Eco Pods so make sure you pack your own to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We also recommend you bringing camping chairs to make the most of sitting by the campfire.

In addition to the onsite glamping, there are also a number of camping pitches, including an Adults only area for those who want a peaceful place to stay.

For those who want something a little bit different, Rufus's Roost may be the perfect place for you. This beautifully built treehouse can sleep up to 6 people and is perched in secluded private woodland, surrounded by tree-top panoramic views. Access to Rufus’s Roost is through the forest on a raised board-walk! Between the two turrets is a large veranda perfect for alfresco dining, complete with a log-fired pizza oven and hot-tub, where you can sit back, soak and take in the views.

All guests have access to first class facilities and there is a small shop at reception which supplies a few essential items you may need during your stay. When it's time to get cooking, we have BBQ tripods available from Reception for £7.50 for the duration of your stay. (+£40 fully refundable deposit, must be brought back super clean!) We also stock eco-friendly firefighters.)

Should you want to leave the grounds and visit some attractions, you will find that there is plenty going on nearby that all ages can enjoy. This includes:
